WizKids DnD Bookends Showcase Redesigned Red & Black Dragons

This past year we’ve seen a slew of new DnD books hitting shelves, with everything from updated core rules books to new campaign materials. If you’re looking to keep your many RPG tomes in check, you’ll be happy to know that WizKids is releasing not one, but two new official DnD bookends that are based on the redesigned red and black dragons featured in the 2025 Monster Manual.

So does these new bookends have what it takes to hold up your library? Below, we press together all the details.

What are the new WizKids DnD bookends?

The new WizKids DnD books are 7-inches in height, and constructed of high-end resin with a fully painted. Both are sold separately, with one featuring the redesigned red dragon and the other featuring the new black dragon.

Notably, WizKids has stated that this will be the start of a new line of official DnD bookends, although it’s not clear what the other bookends will include and when they’ll be officially released.

How much are the new WizKids DnD bookends?

The new dragon bookends will retail for $59.99 USD each. You can pre-order them directly from WizKids now, although they should be available through other major online retailers and your local game store.

When will the new WizKids DnD bookends be available?

Both individual bookends will be released in Q2 2025 (so between April and June). So we do have a few months to wait before you can actually get your hands on them. It’s also possible this date may move out and shipping may add additional time.

Final Thoughts

These new draconic-themed bookends do look absolutely amazing and the price point isn’t bad considering the quality and design (the new black dragon looks particularly amazing). Of course, WizKids isn’t the only company creating DnD bookends and you can find unofficial versions kicking around on both Etsy and Amazon.

If, however, you have your heart set on these bad boys, you can hit up the WizKids website, with both the red dragon and the black dragon available for pre-order.
